Erica Chan finally confirms pregnancy
1 Dec - Following rumours of pregnancy after she announced her marriage with husband Calvin, Erica Chan finally confirmed that she is with a child.
As reported on Mingpao, the TVB actress shared the good news on Instagram Story on 29 November with an ultrasound photo, which she captioned, "Hello BB".
Speaking to the media at a Christmas event following the announcement, Erica denied that she got married back in October because she was expecting.
"We had planned to get married for a while now, but we just let nature takes its course and had a baby," she said.
She also said that both she and her husband do know the gender of the baby, but will not announce it for the time being.
"Actually, it doesn't matter whether it's a boy or a girl. The most important thing is that the baby is healthy," she added.
Erica stated that she has been cared for like a queen at home by her husband since the pregnancy.
"He won't let me bend down or hold my handbag, for fear that it will be too heavy. He helps me put on my shoes and socks every day. We are adding a new member soon, and we will make to cherish our Christmas this year," she said.
However, the actress stressed that she has no plans to quit showbiz and that she regards TVB as her home.
