Eric Tsang launches education centre

3 Mar - Hong Kong actor-producer Eric Tsang has opened his very own education centre, Funtastic Playland.

According to Mingpao News, the actor, who appeared at the launch on 2 March, stated that his purpose of opening the centre was to share happiness with the children.

Eric stated that from the research that he made for the last two and a half years, he found that most western countries educate their children through things that make them happy.

"In Hong Kong, we have a lot of overprotective parents, and the children are not learning in a fun way," said Eric.

He continued, "I want to use the mode of teaching through games, so that the children get to explore their interest in a happy environment. When we were kids, we play with marbles, but children now sit in front of the computer. The childlike innocence is gone."

Eric also admitted that he was inspired to open the centre because of his two grandchildren.
