Emma Thompson does cool-chic in cream suit and stacked trainers at BAFTAs
Emma Thomson went for a chic and exceptionally cool red carpet look for the British Academy Film and Television Awards on Sunday (19 February).
The star arrived at the BAFTAs in a cream suit and stacked trainers. For the red carpet, Emma draped a co-ordinated coat over her shoulders, adding an effortless element to her fabulous ensemble.
The actress also proved that silver hair is just as high glamour (if not more so) than any other shade, with her cropped locks shaped into a vintage wave. She paired the look with a sweep of bold red lipstick for a classic finish.
Emma attended the event with her husband, Greg Wise, who also wore a suit and trainers for the ceremony but in reverse colours to his wife. Greg opted for a black suit and footwear, plus a white buttoned shirt without a tie for a modern twist.
The co-ordinating pair were photographed together on the red carpet, before being seated beside one another during the awards evening.
Later in the evening, Emma joined Alison Hammond on the BAFTA sofa alongside actor Austin Butler, who won a BAFTA for his starring role portraying Elvis Presley in Elvis, alongside Tom Hanks.
During the interview with Alison, Emma said that one of the best things about the BAFTAs is that you can meet all the people you see in the movies and tell them how amazing you thought they were. She then went on to congratulate Austin for his impressive performance in Elvis.
