Emma Maembong dreams of an antagonist role

Emma Maembong said that despite her hijab image, it will not stop her from chasing her dream roles.

30 Aug – Popular actress Emma Maembong has expressed her dream to play an antagonist role as she is always playing the good girl or victimised roles.

"I always wanted to act in an action film to play a baddie or a psycho," she was quoted as saying to Harian Metro.

However Emma said that this doesn't mean that she is bored of playing protagonist roles, but wants to try out different characters so she can proof herself as an actress.

Added the "Werewolf Dari Bangladesh" star, as long as she keeps starring in the same roles, she won't be able to grow or follow in the footsteps of Nabila Huda who she says can play many kinds of roles really well.

The 24-year-old also said that her hijab appearance should not stand in the way of her dreams. In playing antagonist roles, she would be able to know her limits.

Meanwhile, regarding the gossip that she is dating actor Nazrief Nazri, Emma says that she is shocked at how that rumour managed to materialise in the first place. She added that she doesn't bother herself with gossip anymore as she is used to being the talk of untrue rumours.
