Ellen Joyce Loo's studio express sadness over her passing
14 Aug – Hong Kong music production company, People Mountain People Sea has recently released a statement following the news of Ellen Joyce Loo's passing.
According to Mingpao, the studio, on behalf of the late singer's family thanked the public for their condolences and encouragement.
"Over the past few years, [Ellen] had been fighting a tough battle in facing emotional illness and bipolar disorder. We have always been there with her, giving her strength and support."
"Today she decided to leave [this world], and we hope she will find peace in another world," the statement added.
The company also expressed hope that people will remember Ellen for her bravery, and called for the public to always share their pain with friends and family so that they could offer a helping hand.
On the other hand, the singer's record label Universal Music also issued a statement, expressing sadness over her death and added that she will be missed.
Ellen Joyce Loo was found dead outside her home in Happy Valley on the morning of 5 August.
