Elizabeth Hurley continues to contribute to the popular metallic shoe trend. The actress was spotted wearing a pair of open-toe metallic gold platform sandals while at the “Strictly Confidential” Special Screening on April 3 in New York City.

The model has been photographed wearing different metallic shoes all week while stepping out with her son Damien Hurley. Just a day prior, she was seen wearing Dolce & Gabbana platform sandals in silver, which currently retail at $1,345. The pumps feature a 4.25 heel, a calf leather sole, and an upper with buckle closure.

Metallic shoes have been trending since last summer thanks to their appearance on luxury designers’ runway shows, such as Bottega Veneta, Prada, Manolo Blahnik, Gucci and more. By the fall, it had become clear that the silver and gold metallic trend was here to stay.

The 2024 Golden Globes was a turning point for the trend as several celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Margot Robbie, were seen sporting metallic shoes. Other stars that have participated in the trend are Jennifer Hudson, Heidi Klum and Beyoncé.

Though metallic shoes have become trendy in the last year, Hurley has been incorporating them into her wardrobe since 2018 when she wore rose gold open-toe heels to an event.
