Eliza Sam says marriage helps a lot with her acting

17 Jan – TVB actress Eliza Sam recently admitted that marriage has helped her become a better actress than she was before.

The actress, who sat down for an interview with Mingpao recently, revealed that her perspective about life and love has grown since marrying boyfriend Joshua Ngo in 2016, and that it made it easier for her to understand the characters she has to play in her dramas.

"For example, I can better imagine the despair of losing one's love, even though in reality my love story is a total opposite," she said, describing her character's arc in the drama "Heart and Greed".

In reality, said Eliza, she and Joshua have known each other since they were children, although they lost contact with each other after many years.

"I was working part-time in a restaurant while I was in college. My colleague would come to the restaurant with her boyfriend, and the boyfriend is friends with [Joshua]. I totally have forgotten about him, but as God wills it, he remembered me and treated me well. He didn't blame me for not remembering him," she said.

On the other hand, when asked about her baby plans, Eliza reiterated her previous response that she hopes to enjoy the first few years of their marriage.

"We were in a long-distance relationship for a long time, so we just want to enjoy being with each other for now. I do love children, but we'll just go with the flow," she said.
