Elena Kong opens up about past secret marriage
17 Aug – After surprising many with news that she was actually married with Sandra Ng's brother, Ng Kwan Cheung, before they ended their 11-year relationship in 2018, Elena Kong recently opened up about the relationship in an interview with a radio show.
As reported on Mingpao, Elena, who was with Ng for 11 years and was revealed to have been married to him since 2006 by Ng's own father Kenneth Ng, revealed that the decision to keep the marriage unknown was agreed upon by the two of them.
"I felt like my private life had been very transparent. There were too many things that I allowed myself to discuss with the public, but this is the only secret that I could keep," she said.
Elena stated that her marriage with Ng was not impulsive, and that the latter took good care of her.
"It's just that our pace was inconsistent with one another later on, and many things happened in the process. But there was no third-party involvement. He worked mostly in the mainland, and we saw each other less and less," she said.
As to whether she would marry again, Elena said that she no longer longed for such a thing, though has no issue in having a partner in life. However, she admitted that such a relationship would be hard to come by.
