Elaine Ng and daughter on speaking terms again
12 Apr - Two weeks after their latest mother-daughter conflict, it was revealed that radio personality, Elaine Ng finally had the chance to speak to daughter, Etta.
As reported on Mingpao, the former Miss Asia, who has been busy managing Etta's hospitalisation from afar, shared that her daughter has finally called her on the phone.
"We spoke a few words. There was spirit in her voice. In fact, I was a bit surprised. I didn't expect that she would call me. I thought she would only want to speak to her friends," she said.
However, she added that they have agreed not to see each other for now, since both of them are not ready.
"I want to deal with my own problem first," said Elaine, who previously admitted that she has her own flaws as a mother.
"Maybe I have to learn to let things go. It's very difficult for me. I'm anxious and impatient, and I have a low emotional intelligence. I have to deal with my own emotions before I can talk to my daughter," she said.
However, Elaine declined to share any information about the real reason for Etta's hospitalisation.
Two weeks ago, the mother-daughter duo made headlines again when it was revealed that Etta had called the police to arrest her mother for criminal intimidation. She left Hong Kong for Bangkok as soon as her mother was released, but returned home straight to the hospital after only two days.
