Elaine Ng celebrates Mother's Day without her daughter
14 May – With her daughter Etta's whereabouts still unknown, radio personality Elaine Ng recently celebrated Mother's Day on her own.
As reported on Mingpao, on 13 May, the former Miss Asia recently forwarded a message from her manager Evan that spoke about tolerance and acceptance.
The post read, "A man's greatest growth is when he forgives and accepts the imperfection of his parents. Everybody is willing to accept the imperfections of their children, thus may all children also accept their mother's imperfections."
On the other hand, Etta's estranged father Jackie Chan has declined to talk about the issue at all.
The actor, who appeared in public at a launch in Anhui for the first time since Etta's homelessness made the news, only spoke about his own mother and how being back in Anhui made it feel like he was coming home.
When asked to comment about Etta, Jackie only smiled and said nothing.
In related news, some netizens recently revealed that they have seen Etta and her girlfriend Andi buying some snacks at a convenience store in Canada, sparking speculations that the two of them have resolved their financial issues.
