Ekin Cheng plans to direct his first movie

28 Aug - Hong Kong actor Ekin Cheng recently revealed that he is planning to direct his own movie in the future.

As reported on HK01, the actor, who appeared at a home appliance brand event alongside actress Karena Lam, stated that he has been working on the script for quite a while, although is still undecided about the leading lady.

When asked if he would work with Karena, Ekin stated, "I have to discuss the script with her. I want to absorb different elements. She usually does serious movies, while mine are usually very relaxed."

To this, Karena responded, "If he would invite me to work in his movie, I would be willing to play miscellaneous roles since I won't be the kind of lead actress he would have in mind."

Ekin reiterated that Karena's movies are usually solemn and very serious, which the actress then replied, "It's your script that's weird!"

Meanwhile, the actor also stated that he was originally scheduled to work in Chin Kar Lok's directorial debut in July, but the project has been postponed to December due to script change.
