Eat, play & think out of the box at Eatbox 2021

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss the bustle, fairy lights and aesthetics of Artbox. Its fleeting stint here hypes us all up, and we gallantly brave the teeming crowds for good fun, food and the ‘gram. But I think we can all agree that it’s a creative breath of fresh air that deserves its own space here. So, low and behold Artbox’s gastronomical wing—Eatbox 2021, their first Creative Food Hall which spans a whopping 9,500 sqft, coming to us in September 2021.

And here’s the best part; it’s here to stay, at their permanent location of Tekka Place, which is a stone’s throw away from Rochor MRT. The brainchild of Invade, organisers of Artbox and Shilin Night Market, Eatbox is the latest addition to this sensational trinity.

Skip the usual dining halls and indulge in an upbeat experience of all things food, here at Eatbox. From dazzling interactive murals to a globetrotter’s menu, it’s a celebration of innovation. Redefining the dining experience, they have 20 booths and four kiosks serving up international and fusion offerings.

Don’t miss the ever-popular favourites from Artbox Singapore, and new-to-market items that’ll amaze our local palates—Satay Ummi’s Nasi Lemak, Butcher The Burger Bar’s Butcher Truffle Eggstarter, as well as Okinawa Onigiri’s Onigiri-Sandwich and more. Also, did someone say halal mookata? Chickata would be coming right up with these options, with their own dining section for the wholesome barbeque experience.

Not only is Eatbox a sui generis culinary playground, it’s also one for empowering local brands. In light of the growing climate of F&B entrepreneurship, Invade has partnered with industry experts and partners, such as Temasek Polytechnic’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programme, MC Payment, and SEED Ventures. They work with vendors to provide funding opportunities, resources and contactless payment options—some key business tools to grow their businesses. We love an initiative that supports and celebrates our rising entrepreneurs, and it’s a clear mission here at Eatbox.

How can we miss out on Instagrammable stuff? You won’t be disappointed, it’s a treasure trove for photos that’ll add pops of colour to your feed. Spot the murals at Eatbox’s hype zone and get your shot. But don’t forget the heart and soul behind them, as these interactive murals are created in collaboration with local artists, refreshed every six to eight months. Truly a feast for the eyes.

The theme of innovation runs strong here, as alongside Eatbox, two mainstays would be included: a thematic Experience Centre and retail and recreational content space. Keep your eyes peeled for an instant-noodle experience playground, and slurp up all the fun that’s to come.

Eatbox opens in September 2021 at Tekka Place Annex Building, offering free admission. Click here to find out more.
