Easter 2022 in Singapore: Hop to these restaurants for an egg-citing family meal

Easter might hit a little differently in 2022 due to COVID-19 and the constantly changing safe distancing measures, but it’s still worth getting egg-cited over because of the yummy egg-themed boozy brunches, confectionery and family-friendly events that are springing up all over our sunny island.

It’s time to take a trip down the rabbit hole, because here are 11 Easter feasts in Singapore for an egg-citing family meal.

1. Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore

Easter at Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore is a vibrant affair and celebrated in true American style from its opulent and luxurious 170-seater restaurant, which overlooks Orchard Road through its 4-metre high floor-to-ceiling windows.

Celebrate the arrival of springtime with its 5-Course Easter Set Menu (S$119 per adult, S$49 per child for kid’s meal), a mouth-watering feast which starts off with Lawry’s signature Famous Original Spinning Bowl Salad— a blend of crisp romaine and iceberg lettuce, shredded beets, baby spinach, chopped eggs and croutons, and tossed in Lawry’s vintage dressing in a salad bowl and spun on ice.

A trip to Lawry’s isn’t complete without a visit from its famous silver carts, where servers carve out a 150g slab of Signature Roasted USDA Prime Rib of Beef, which is accompanied by mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, whipped cream horseradish and your choice of creamed corn, creamed spinach or buttered peas.

For dessert, pick between the Happy Baby Chick & Nest Cupcake or the quintessential Happy Bunny’s Carrot Cake, featuring tangy cream cheese buttercream between spiced layers of moist cake.

This year, Lawry’s brings back its annual Best Dressed Children Contest, so be sure to have your kids come decked out in their Sunday best! Prizes up for grabs include dining vouchers worth up to S$200 and a Bruno Wireless Speaker Rib Pot worth S$68.

Other fun children activities include complimentary candy bags, kid’s colouring and activity sheets, temporary body tattoos and free balloons. Also, children will receive a limited-edition kid’s mask with every kid’s menu ordered, while adults will get a S$50 dining voucher (valid for use on the next visit) with every bill.

Do note that Lawry’s Easter menu is only available for lunch and dinner on 17 April 2022, so be sure to make your reservations early by calling +65 6836 3333 or emailing reservations@lawrys.com.sg.

If you thought one Easter brunch would be enough, try three! The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore is pulling out all the stops with its trifecta of brunches for families and friends.

Dig into Easter-inspired Asian fare at the hotel’s signature restaurant, 15 Stamford by Alvin Leung. Its Punch & Brunch (from S$168++ per adult, S$148++ per child) will feature classic seafood delights on ice, premium meat and seafood platters, as well as ever-flowing canapes. Top up S$48++ for free-flow rum punch, sparkling wine and house wine for a truly boozy Easter afternoon. Easter activities include bingo, egg lottery and egg tapping.

The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore’s remaining two Easter brunches are the Boozy Liquid Easter Brunch at The Bar @ 15 Stamford, where you’ll be able to properly celebrate Easter in high spirits (literally) from S$168++ per pax, and the Frieda X La Scala Easter Sunday Brunch at Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore, a 10-course affair featuring dishes from both La Scala Ristorante and Frieda German Restaurant.

8. Binary

Trust me when I say that you need to visit Binary at least once in your life. Its Signature Kubaneh Bread, a Jewish Yemeni pull-apart bread, is fantastic when served with garlic and kombu butter. That’s why I was so excited to learn that Binary’s four-course Easter Brunch (S$48++ per pax) starts out with this exact fluffy, warm bread as an appetiser.

While the four courses boast a selection of eggs, roasts, side dishes and desserts, here’s the catch: the more people you bring, the more items you’re able to select. If you’re dining in a pair, you’ll only be able to select one item from each course. However, if you’re dining in a group of five, you’ll get to select three whopping items from each course, making it a grand total of 12 items.

Talk about making the most out of your buck!

Do note that Binary’s Easter Sunday Brunch is only available on 17 April 2022 for two seatings: 11.30am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
