It was a night of celebration, surprises and one awkward slip-up on this week's Dancing with the Stars.

Tuesday's episode of the dance competition series was all about the House of Mouse as the show celebrated Disney's 100th anniversary with Disney 100 Night.

Opening with an adorable pre-recorded segment of the cast getting ready for the live show — including a special cameo from Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson's son Rome — the pro dancers were then joined by co-hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro and judges Derek HoughBruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba for an opening number to "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Encanto.

After Alfonso and Julianne introduced the couples, a short clip about the history of Disney in its last 100 years played. Then, the night's dances kicked off.

Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater

Mauricio Umansky celebrated receiving his first 7 last week, which he said "has me feeling optimistic." Setting his sights on this week, Mauricio was excited to celebrate Disney, especially because he's a father to four daughters.

"As a parent, it's one of the best experiences you can have," he said of bringing his daughters to the park and watching them enjoy all things Disney.

With a paso doble to "The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” from the 1940 movie, Fantasia, Mauricio vowed to achieve greatness on Disney 100 Night. "I'm gonna work so hard this week so I can go up, up, up and away. I'm gonna give you magic," he said.

Following their dance, Derek kicked off the judges' feedback, telling the real estate agent that he "loved it." He added, "It was like an adorable matador, it was matadorable."

Bruno said Mauricio "polished the dance floor to perfection," but encouraged him to "fill the space a little bit more." Carrie Ann added that Mauricio did "amazing" and said she was "so proud" of him. "It got better and better and better as you danced," she noted.

When Julianne asked Mauricio if he ever expected to be dancing on national television in Mickey Mouse ears given his profession, the real estate agent said he "never imagined it in a million years" and added, "It's the most fun I've ever had."

Mira Sorvino and Gleb Savchenko

Mira Sorvino admitted she was "surprised" by Carrie Ann's critical comments last week "because I feel like last week's dance was my best dance."

Despite the criticism, Mira wasn't going to let that stop her from doing her best this week with a waltz to “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella. "I feel like more of a competitor, I want to do my best," she said.

Mira also couldn't help but point out pro partner Gleb Savchenko's striking resemblance to one of the Disney princes. "Disney has rich history of taking fairytale characters and giving them new life," she said, admitting that she felt like a princess because Gleb "looks like a real-life prince."

For his part, Gleb said he was hopeful that Mira could "separate herself from the middle of the pack and really shine" for this week's performance. Mira was on board, vowing, "I'm throwing my hat in the ring, I'm not gonna doubt myself and I'm gonna fight for every point... and really project my performance."

Following the dance, Bruno called Mira the "belle of the ball" and added she was "elegant and soft." Carrie Ann noted that Mira was "giving queen energy" during the performance and praised her for finding her confidence and elegance.

Derek agreed with his fellow judges, admitting he'd be "waiting for this style of dance" for Mira, calling it "exquisite."

Speaking to Julianne afterwards, Mira said she felt "so grateful" and this was the "first time" she enjoyed this experience "with less fear." She also revealed she sprained or possibility fractured her wrist during rehearsals but wasn't going to let it keep her down.

Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd

Barry Williams raved about his experience on the show so far, admitting he's "having the time of my life." He also celebrated his success last week, where he earned his first 7.

With a jazz to “He’s a Tramp” from Lady and the Tramp, Barry couldn't help but reminisce on his early Broadway beginnings when he auditioned for Pippin and was ultimately hired by the legendary Bob Fosse.

"Even though this is a really difficult routine, jazz is the style of dance I'm most familiar with," Barry said. "I really want to impress the judges and then keep climbing the leaderboard."

Though he was determined to do well, Barry ultimately fell short of that goal, making several missteps during the routine. Even so, Carrie Ann called the routine Barry's "best dance so far."

"You're such a class with everything you do that whatever you do, it's such a joy," she said after pointing out his mistakes in the dance.

Derek also commended him for carrying on despite the missteps, telling The Brady Bunch star, "You're so charming, my man... hopefully better next week." Bruno echoed their words, saying it "started very, very well" but Barry "covered it well."

Later on, Barry admitted that his missteps were a result of him falling "behind in the beat."

Score: 18/30

Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach

Looking back on his success on the show so far, Jason Mraz said getting two 9s was "extraordinary" and it's "blowing my mind right now."

"The top of the leaderboard makes me nervous," he admitted of the high expectations now. "I've got a whole lot of work to do if I wanna stay at the top of that leaderboard."

Jason was particularly nervous for this week because he was assigned a foxtrot to “A Whole New World” from Aladdin. But even so, he performed the dance with grace and elegance.

Derek praised the routine, saying this was a "whole new Jason." He added that the singer is "becoming a dancer before our very eyes."

Bruno praised him for having "so much poise" and called him the "perfect prince," while Carrie Ann noted it was "completely different than what we've seen so far... but still, the poetry and the way you elongate your lines... it was like magic. It was amazing."

Score: 24/30

Lele Pons and Brandon Armstrong

Lele Pons reflected on her scores last week, which were worse than the week prior, and said she felt like "she let herself down."

"Trying to be too perfect was a big mistake because dancing in this competition should be fun," she admitted in a confessional.

As she continued to emphasize how she is very hard on herself, Lele vowed to have a change of heart this week. "I have to believe in myself a little bit more cause the judges do, my family does, and I want to prove them right," she said.

She and pro Brandon Armstrong then performed a rumba to “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King.

The routine resulted in Bruno taking his jacket off in celebration and declaring, "We are in business!" He added, "Your center was so much stronger... It was sensual and sophisticated. Now, work on your legs. What you did is a great achievement because you listened to everything and corrected it."

Carrie Ann said she "loved" how Lele is "taking the corrections," and added that the YouTuber "looked like a princess." She also pointed out that Lele had a lift in her routine. Because Carrie Ann gave more detailed feedback, Derek didn't have a chance to say much, but told Lele she did a great job and he would speak to her after the show.

When asked what she's learned so far in the skybox, Lele told Julianne, "It's okay to be your biggest competitor, it's okay to push yourself but don't be mean to yourself."

Score: 22/30

Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber

Alyson Hannigan reflected on the last week and admitted the scores were the last thing on her mind. "Last week I was so sick, I didn't think I was gonna be able to dance at all," she said, noting that she "felt utter relief" when she was able to take the ballroom floor.

When pro Sasha Farber relayed that the two would be performing a jazz to “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast this week, Alyson expressed her excitement about it, saying, "I really love the energy of the Broadway performance and I hope I can emulate that."

Because they were dancing to Be Our Guest, Sasha invited another guest into rehearsals: his former DWTS partner, Selma Blair.

Selma had nothing but good things to say about her friend as they practiced their routine. "Alyson's spirit is so big, she's such a pro. I think this is her time," Selma told cameras.

Following the dance, Carrie Ann praised Alyson for being "so animated" but noted she sometimes can "lose the musicality" because of it. "Some of the movements felt a little limited," she added.

Derek said it "lacked a little bit of content" but Alyson made up for it with her personality and charm. Bruno echoed their sentiments, urging Alyson to "put the steps exactly to music."

Despite the feedback, Alyson said she's "having so much fun" and reminded viewers, "I'm starting from zero, I don't dance, so to be surrounded by these amazing people and incredible teacher, it's just the dream."

Score: 18/30

Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold

Harry said it "felt so good to finally see a 7" last week, and focused his efforts on this week's dance.

With a quickstep to “You’ve Got a Friend In Me” from Toy Story, Harry said the song reminded him of his close friend, who died by suicide, and he wanted to dedicate the performance to him.

Pro Rylee Arnold also credited their "chemistry" for helping get this far, and hoped they could translate that into this week's routine.

After hitting the dance floor, Derek praised the Netflix reality star for being in character and said he "really loved that dance." Bruno pointed out that Harry looked like he "was having out fun out there," though he wasn't always on "the right beat." He added, "Much much better, you're on your way."

Carrie Ann also celebrated the routine as "adorable" and called it a representation of "the magic of Disney."

Up in the skybox, Julianne welcomed the duo — who she called "lovebirds" — to receive their scores.

The comment certainly raised eyebrows as there has been much speculation regarding Harry and Rylee's relationship status, especially after they were spotted out in L.A. holding hands. Though the two have kept coy about romance rumors, it appeared the cast behind them were shocked after Julianne made the "lovebird" reference.

After receiving all 7s, Harry seemed to feel validated about his performance dedication to his friend. "I guess he's watching," he said with tears in his eyes.

Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy

Reflecting on last week, Xochitl Gomez called her dance "possibly the best one" she had done so far. "I was so proud of myself," she said.

This week, with a paso doble to “Un Poco Loco” from Coco, Xochitl struggled with the difficulty of the routine but vowed to get it right. "Having a dramatic fiery side is really hard," she said. "Un Poco Loco is a song I love so much so I want to do it justice and I wanna make Val proud."

Bruno raved about the dance afterwards, noting the Marvel star captured the vibrance of Mexico and was fully in character. "It was magnificent," he said.

Carrie Ann said the routine was "unbelievable," and celebrated the speed and dynamic that Xochitl brings to the dance floor, while Derek called her a true "artist."

"I love watching you and I can't wait to continue watching you," he added.

Afterwards, Xochitl said she feels "really proud" because she "tried my hardest" to do her best and felt she accomplished that. She certainly did that and more, as the judges gave her first 9s of the season.

Adrian Peterson and Britt Stewart

As a natural-born competitor, Adrian Peterson said he was super motivated to "work hard" to "get those scores up" because he's not used to not succeeding.

With a Viennese waltz to “Baby Mine” from Dumbo, pro Britt Stewart emphasized how Adrian would have to change his ways and "find a way to be smooth during this dance."

"I spent my entire career using power and strength to run over defenders," the NFL star said, "but now I gotta be smooth to win over the judges."

Following their performance, Carrie Ann praised his refinement, posture and elegance, calling it the "most touching dance of the night, it was so pure."

Derek gave him a standing ovation, noting that the athlete has "transformed before our eyes." He added, "That dance really, really moved me."

Bruno concluded the judges' feedback by telling Adrian he "found your wings and taken flight."

Speaking to Julianne after the dance, Adrian said it was a "very nurturing song" and he was able to get into it "thinking about my newborn daughter."

Score: 21/30

Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix was on a high after last week's routine, where she tied at the top of the leaderboard. "I feel like I'm still dreaming," she said.

For this week, Disney Night held a special significance to Ariana, who revealed she once worked at Disney World. She also said this week's dance – a contemporary to “Into the Unknown” from Frozen II — was very fitting considering the style of the routine.

"I feel more vulnerable doing this dance more than any others but I really wanna show we can make this great too," she said.

After their dance, Derek had nothing but good things to say. He praised Ariana's "amazing ability to truly embody whatever essence you're trying to," and called the dance "truly sensational." He also raved about the "beautiful movement [and] beautiful choreography."

Bruno was shocked she had never done a contemporary dance before, and commended her "determination to succeed."

"Keep that going, it's gonna work for you," he said.

Meanwhile, Carrie Ann said she enjoyed the dance and would've loved "more freedom" in the moves.

Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev

After last week's Motown Night, Charity Lawson received her best score yet. "9s are absolutely on my radar," she said, adding that she'd be on "cloud nine" if the judges gave her 9s again.

In rehearsals, pro Artem Chigvintsev pushed the former Bachelorette lead to reach her "potential." It was also not lost on Charity that dancing a Viennese waltz to “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid would hold major significance in terms of representation.

"I hope this translates [for women who look like me] to know the opportunity is there for them and it's obtainable," she said.

After her performance, Bruno called the dance a "wonderful, uplifting waltz" and a "fitting finale" for the episode, while Carrie Ann raved about Charity owning her "role model" status for women around the world.

Derek also praised her, telling Charity she is "so reliable and consistent in your movement." He added, "Just sensational, well done."

Before getting her scores, Charity reiterated, "I really am giving my all in every rehearsal and I want to keep getting better."

"You really pushed me and brought the best out of me," Adrian told Britt in the final moments of the episode. "I really enjoyed this journey."
