Are you someone who's been worrying about your high-and-tight haircut being appropriated by white supremacist neo-Nazis? Or are you just a guy who's out there recklessly abusing your beard.

If you're either of these-or both!-it turns out you're not alone. According to Google's top searches for 2016, the number one and number two terms in the category of men's grooming were "pomade" and "beard oil."

In fact, beards took up a lot of space in the category, with "face brush" coming in third and "beard balm" coming in fourth. And then high-and-tights get hit again with "fade hairstyle" notching the number five spot.

All in all, some form of head hair dominated the top eight spots for men's grooming searches this year, with only one item-"men's anti-aging"-not having anything to do with haircare, haircuts, or beard maintenance. In 2016, men really cared about what was growing out of their heads and faces.

Here's the full list:

  1. Pomade

  2. Beard oil

  3. Face brush

  4. Beard balm

  5. Fade hairstyle

  6. Hair balm

  7. Men's anti-aging

  8. Men's haircare
