In a 24-hour window, the Duchess of Sussex managed to flex her sartorial muscles in a grand total of five outfits while visiting Dublin. And it turns out, one of her closest friends is responsible for the seriously impressive turnover.

According to royal reporter Omid Scobie, personal stylist Jessica Mulroney paid a secret visit to Kensington Palace last week ahead of Harry and Meghan’s debut overseas tour as newlyweds.

With the media spotlight well and truly fixated on the royal couple’s two-day trip to Dublin, the Duchess of Sussex made sure to seek sartorial advice from her close pal and who can blame her?

The duo – who have worked together since before the royal wedding – are a sartorial match made in heaven, as the 36-year-old treated the Emerald Isle to some of her most covetable looks to date.

Fresh from the RAF’s centenary celebrations in London, Meghan swapped out of her Dior dress to give the A-list sphere lessons in airport dressing as she opted for a diplomatically sound Irish green co-ord by Givenchy.

In a déjà vu moment, the former actress accessorised the look with Strathberry’s sell-out midi tote – a friendly reminder of her pre-duchess wardrobe.

Fast-forward to the evening and she changed into her third outfit of the day for a summer garden party hosted by Britain’s Ambassador to Ireland. In a surprising fashion move, Meghan donned an Emilia Wickstead LBD accessorised with her go-to Givenchy clutch.

But the fashion doesn’t stop there, as the Duchess returned to Roland Mouret on the following day accessorised with a £4,900 Fendi bag and a pair of £9,046 Birks earrings.

But Mulroney isn’t just behind her Irish sartorial charm offensive, as she’s to thank for the Duchess’ recent fashion comeback.

After facing criticism in recent weeks for an array of ladylike silhouettes and powder pink tights, the ‘Meghan Effect’ is back and bigger than ever.

On 5 July, the former actress found her fashion footing once again in a punchy banana-hued dress by Brandon Maxwell. Teamed with Manolo Blanhik heels and subtle diamond earrings by Adina Reyter, it was a fitting tribute to her American heritage.

Before she reassured the nation that she’s got her style mojo back in a Ralph Lauren dress at Prince Louis of Cambridge’s christening five days later.

Meghan met Jessica when she relocated from Los Angeles to Toronto due to her starring role in Canadian legal drama, ‘Suits’. The pair soon became firm friends and Jessica has helped the fledgling royal forge her sartorial footprint in the hard-to-navigate regal world ever since.

But the stylist is no stranger to high profile clientele, as she has worked with Justin Trudeau’s wife since 2015. With such a well-recognised global platform, she aims to throw the media spotlight on Canadian labels such as Sentaler – a brand the Duchess of Cambridge has also recently developed a love for.

With news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on their way back to London, here’s hoping Meghan delivers one last dose of fashion inspo.
