Dua Lipa Layers a “Matrix”-esque Coat Over a Dress with a Jaw-Dropping Leg Slit
Dua Lipa danced the night away in an outfit that channeled The Matrix.
Lately, the Grammy winner has been busy in Tokyo, where she recently kicked off a celebration for the release of her newest single, “Houdini.” She shared photos of the bash on Instagram.
Lipa’s party uniform consisted of an oversize long leather coat in black, which she layered over a black jersey bodycon maxi dress featuring silver studded halterneck straps that extended down to the floor. A thigh-high leg slit revealed that she was wearing transparent tights and a pair of knee-high black leather boots underneath. To accessorize, the singer added a black leather clutch bag and a silver chain choker necklace with a pendant.
“Last night I had a fun intimate get-together at @teamlab.planets to celebrate the release of Houdini 🔐🖤,” Lipa captioned the photos. “So great to meet you all and spend some time!! Thank you for all the love & support.” She concluded the message with a message written in Japanese, which translates to, “Thank you very much.”
The pop star previously talked about dropping “Houdini” and the prospect of more new music during a recent interview with Variety.
“I definitely got more music coming. Right now I’m in ‘Houdini’ world. I’m just thrilled that I’m finally signed to release new music,” she told the outlet. “Honestly, it hit me so quick—the intensity of everyone’s reaction. It’s amazing. It’s definitely the biggest reaction I’ve ever gotten from anything I’ve ever done. I’m just really happy and ready to start this next chapter.”
