Dua Lipa Brought Her Dad to the 2024 Grammys Red Carpet, and the Pics Are Too Cute
Dua Lipa is (1) performing at the 2024 Grammys, and (2) nominated for a ton of awards thanks to "Dance the Night" from Barbie, and she delivered on her red carpet look. Dua wore a shimmery silver dress, and she brought her dad as her date!
Dua said she found out about her Grammy noms from a friend and was totally blown away.
“I got a text from a friend who was like, ‘Did you know that you just got nominated for two Grammys for Dance the Night?’ I was already on such a high because I had just released my new single, ‘Houdini’, and that was just absolutely flying and then I get this news and I was just absolutely in a massive whirlwind, I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing,” she told The Hollywood Reporter (via NME). "I was just so happy to be nominated, especially for a song that means so much to me. I just feel like it’s such a big part of me."
She previously told the LA Times of writing the track, “When Greta and Mark told me about what part of the film they wanted me to write a song for, it was the pinnacle moment where everything changes from good to bad. I love juxtaposition....I love dance-crying. I knew it had to be fun, but I knew it needed a little element of sadness or a little pang of insufficiency, which I think maybe we’re all susceptible to.”
