Amid a prolific series of diss tracks from him and Kendrick Lamar, Drake is set to release the second colorway for his Nike Nocta Hot Step 2.
The Nike Nocta Hot Step 2 “White” will release this week after the sneaker debuted in an orange colorway at the beginning of April. White forms the vast majority of the synthetic leather sneaker, save for a silver inlet with a small Nike swoosh at midfoot and another metal badge above the toe. A two-tone insole includes black leather heel with the Nocta logo, and yellow is used for select portions of the outsole.
Drake’s second Hot Step sneaker updates its visual cues while continuing to take inspiration from Nike’s Air Terra line. Thinner lines sweep across the shoe more horizontally, while a reshaped sole unit features a smaller exposed Air unit in the heel and the same G-Tek outsole technology.
In addition to the Nocta Hot Step 2, Drake also has the Nocta Glide silhouette, which borrows heavily from the Nike’s Zoom Flight 95. Despite his stature as an artist, Drake’s sneakers haven’t been subject to rapid sellouts such as those of Travis Scott.
The Nike Nocta Hot Step 2 “White” releases Thursday, May 9, through the Snkrs app. Pricing is set at $200.
