"Double World" to stream internationally on 24 July

22 Jul – Rather than risk waiting for the pandemic to subside and cinemas to open up, the producers of the Him Law-starrer, "Double World" have decided to release the movie online instead.

The film, which was originally slated to be released in cinemas nationwide earlier, will be streaming on online platforms in mainland China via iQiyi and internationally on Netflix on 24 July.

This makes "Double World" the first Chinese film in history to be released online simultaneously around the world.

The film, which was directed by Teddy Chan and produced by Cheang Pou Soi, is an adaptation of the MMORPG video game "Zhengtu" released in 2007.

It co-stars Junior-M's Henry Lau Hin Wa, Him Law and Peter Chan.
