An eight year old double amputee has inspired many with a cartwheeling stunt.
Child model Daisy Demetre, from Birmingham, was born with fibula hemimelia, a bone condition which cause her to be born with parts of both her legs missing.
She wowed the showgoers as she cartwheeled down the catwalk.
The moment was captured on camera and has so far been received over a thousand views on Instagram.
“I promised she was going to be the most inspiring double amputee that ever lived without knowing how,” father Alex Demetre told the Press Association. “Then we found modelling.”
The proud father called his daughter’s cartwheel “amazing”.
“To have the confidence to do that was just amazing. If she wants to be a supermodel, who am I to tell her she can’t?”
Jen Jones, co-owner of the Panda brand, said she put out a call “actively encouraging children who are differently abled to apply”.
Diversity is at the forefront of her vision for the brand, and she believes other fashion retailers should follow suit.
“This is the real world,” she told the Press Association. “These people are out there and they deserve a platform.
“If you’re not representing them, if you’re not putting them in your clothing, I don’t see why they should shop in your store.”
