Donnie Yen accepts apology from amfAR

4 Apr – Donnie Yen has accepted the apology made by The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) for the previous controversy surrounding the disrespectful behaviour of the event's staff towards him and his family.

As reported on On CC, amfAR recently released a statement of apology, which read, "We deeply regret the disrespect and unpleasant experience Mr. Donnie Yen and his family faced that night."

"We sincerely look forward to the opportunity to work closely with Mr. Yen and his family again, and we hope we can better understand how we can improve."

When asked about the apology, Donnie stated that they have already received the apology and accepted it.

"We look forward to seeing everybody in the future, and hopefully we can all be more true, kind and beautiful."

Cissy also took to social media to express her thoughts about the whole issue, writing, "I'm happy to share some aspects of my life here on IG, the good and the bad. I speak my truth and my experience. Nevertheless I have always tried to be positive, spread love and not hate, always treat each other with respect and kindness."
