Donita Rose announces engagement to new boyfriend

1 Jun - Donita Rose recently announced that she is set to marry boyfriend, music artiste Felson Palad.

The former MTV Asia VJ shared the good news on social media on 30 May with a photo of her and Felson attending a wedding together, as she placed her hand on his chest to show off her new diamond ring.

"Am now officially engaged," she wrote.

Fans and friends alike took to social media to express their congratulations, including Gelli de Belen, Vina Morales, and Ruffa Gutierrez, the latter who commented, "You finally told the world! Congratulations, girl. You beat us all to it!"

It was back in April that Donita lashed out at netizens who mocked her for continuously sharing photos of her and her new boyfriend - her first public relationship since she ended her marriage with husband Eric Villarama six years ago.

"I do not live for the approval or the praises of man but I do find encouragement from the love we are receiving. Much love back at everyone. There are so many wonderful stories and bellyaching hilarious moments of us to share but for now, this is what's most on my heart," she wrote.

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) -A Malaysian court dismissed jailed former Prime Minister Najib Razak's legal bid to obtain a document that he said would allow him to serve his remaining prison sentence under house arrest. In a judicial review application filed on April 1, Najib said an "addendum order" issued by the former king had accompanied a pardons board's decision in February to halve his 12-year jail sentence for graft in the multibillion-dollar 1MDB scandal. Najib had sought for the court to compel the government to reply to or confirm the existence of the royal order, which he said would entitle him to serve the remainder of his term under house arrest, and to execute the order if it existed.
