Donald Trump Set to Meet With Mexican President Pena Nieto on Wednesday

Now this should be an interesting conversation.

Donald Trump is heading to Mexico City on Wednesday to meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, the Washington Post reports.

The GOP presidential nominee will make the trip south of the border (on which he wants to build a wall) just hours before making a speech in Arizona to clarify his views on immigration policy.

On Friday, Peña Nieto invited both Trump and Hillary Clinton to visit Mexico, his office told the Post. Trump solidified his acceptance on Tuesday night, which he quickly shared on Twitter, saying he looks “very much forward to meeting him tomorrow.”

“I invited Mexico to the U.S. presidential candidates, to discuss bilateral relations. Tomorrow I get to Donald Trump,” Peña Nieto tweeted.

The billionaire is scheduled to hold fundraisers in California Wednesday morning and then deliver his immigration speech in Phoenix, Arizona, that evening. But he will make a quick visit to Mexico City in between those events, the Post reported.

The meeting comes after Trump’s repeated promises to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico if he becomes president — and his repeated pledges to make Mexico pay for such a wall, which Peña Nieto told CNN in July would it be impossible.

“There is no way that Mexico can pay [for] a wall like that,” he said.

The Mexican president has also compared Trump’s political ambitions to those of fascist dictators like Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
