If you had to guess the personal habits of a typical U.S. president, the list would probably include things like regular exercise, healthy eating and drinking, and a generally well-maintained lifestyle. These things all seem like they would help a president make informed, balanced decisions while managing very high stress levels. But Donald Trump’s daily routine is a little different.

In addition to rarely acting presidential, Trump has some pretty unhealthy habits, according to a recent New York Times story. The post breaks down a typical day in the life of Trump, hour by hour. It’s based on a collection of interviews with 60 advisers, associates, friends, and members of Congress. These habits reportedly include watching up to eight hours of television a day. That probably explains why Trump tweets such angry thoughts all day long.

“People close to him estimate that Mr. Trump spends at least four hours a day, and sometimes as much as twice that, in front of a television, sometimes with the volume muted, marinating in the no-holds-barred wars of cable news and eager to fire back,” the New York Times reports.

According to the story, one of the president’s other vices is Diet Coke. Apparently, he drinks 12 Diet Cokes a day. Depending on how long his days are, that means he could potentially be drinking more than one every hour.

The New York Times article also contains other unsettling claims about our 45th POTUS. Take this passage, for example.

“One former top adviser said Mr. Trump grew uncomfortable after two or three days of peace and could not handle watching the news without seeing himself on it.”

Combine that stress and non-stop attention-seeking with his dietary regimen.

Altogether, this can not be the makings of a healthy life for a 71-year-old man.

Contrast this with the Obama White House.

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden once jogged around the White House in suits to promote exercise.

Meanwhile, Michelle Obama built a whole campaign around health called “Let’s Move!”

Ah, the good old days.
