Dogs descend on Capitol for Pet Night
SPOTTED: Rep. Claudia Tenney on the receiving end of some puppy love, as the New York Republican joined other canine-cuddling lawmakers and plenty of four-legged visitors at an event dubbed “Pet Night on Capitol Hill.”
The Wednesday reception at the Cannon House Office Building, hosted by the Human Animal Bond Research Institute, the Pet Food Institute and the Pet Advocacy Network, brought together adoptable puppies, registered therapy animals and show cats for some bipartisan tail-wagging action aimed at focusing on “the importance of pets and service animals in America.”
