Does ‘Black Adam’ Have a Credits Scene?
“Black Adam” is here and, at least according to actor Dwayne Johnson, he’s ready to upend the hierarchy of the DC Universe.
A spin-off of sorts from DC’s earlier “Shazam!” (yes, seriously), “Black Adam” follows Johnson’s Teth-Adam, a demigod that had been imprisoned for 5,000 years and has now been unleashed in the turbulent, fictionalized North African nation of Kahndaq (instead of Egypt).
Kahndaq is a nation overruled by a mass of warlords known as “intergang,” meaning that Teth-Adam has a lot of cleaning up to do. (And this is before one of the intergang warlords zeroes in on a mystical crown that can turn him into the literal devil.) Teth-Adam learns to be a little more human thanks to his interactions with some local freedom fighters and comes to an understanding with the Justice Society (led by Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman), standing in for the larger DC Universe.
But we all know that these days superhero movies don’t end during the credits – heck, superhero shows don’t even end with the credits. Does “Black Adam” follow suit or, true to his word, does he buck convention at every turn?

Does “Black Adam” have an end credits scene?
Yes, it does!
Is it a mid-credits scene or a post-credits scene?
It’s actually mid-credits, after the thoughtful main-on-end credits sequence that also allows you to really bask in Lorne Balfe’s wonderful “Black Adam” theme.
So I don’t have to wait until the very end?
Nope.
But I do have time to run to the bathroom and run back?
Yes, you do. But you’ll be missing a pretty cool title sequence and, again, that killer “Black Adam” theme from composer Lorne Balfe.
Is it even worth sitting through some of the credits?
Yes, this scene, while already ruined by Johnson himself in multiple interviews, is very much worth waiting for – it features a pair of familiar faces from the DC Universe. That’s all we can say, really (if you don’t already know).
What about Black Adam’s dog? That credits scene from “DC League of Super-Pets” really left an impression.
Sadly, Black Adam’s dog, Anubis, a jet-black basenji who quarrels with Superman’s best friend Krypto (both of them voiced by Johnson), doesn’t make an appearance. But we’ll still probably think about him 10 more times today.
Does the credits scene point to something larger or is it more of a goofy tag, like the Avengers eating shawarma?
This one definitely has major implications for the DC Universe. Will the hierarchy actually get discombobulated? You’ll have to wait and see.
