Disney reveals new details on Star Wars-themed rides and Mickey Mouse festivities in 2019

Disney announced new details on the highly anticipated Star Wars-themed experiences coming to parks in 2019, including the names of some of their attractions: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

It was a big weekend for Disney, which feted the 90th birthday of the world's most recognizable rodent, Mickey Mouse, at parks around the world.

It was also the weekend of D23, Disney's official fan club expo where Disney chairman Bob Chapek revealed more details on coming attractions in 2019.

Here's the highlight reel:

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge
The Star Wars-themed area will feature two new experiences that parachute guests into the galaxy, far, far away. Aboard the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, guests sit behind the controls of "the most famous ship in the galaxy."

On Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, guests are thrown in the middle of battle between the First Order and The Resistance and face off against Kylo Ren himself.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway
At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Mickey is getting his first ride-through attraction set to a new original story and theme song that will take guests inside the wacky world of "Mickey Mouse" cartoon shorts. Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway debuts next fall.

Mickey & Minnie's Surprise Celebration
From Jan. 18 - Sept. 30, 2019, Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will launch new Mickey-themed food, merch and entertainment, including a dance party. Disney Cruise Line will also host Mickey & Minnie Surprise Party at Sea aboard the Disney Fantasy next summer.

Get Your Ears On - A Mickey and Minnie Celebration
At Disneyland Resort in California, Mickey will be honored every day come nightfall, with a new light and projection show that turns the park into a family-fun dance party every night. Mickey's Soundsational Parade also returns with a new float next year.

Epcot
A new Ratatouille experience at the France pavilion will be called Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, and Beauty and the Beast gets a new sing-along. O Canada! 360-degree show also gets an update.
