Director praises Huang Zitao's work in upcoming movie
20 Jun - Mainland director Ding Sheng was full of praises for former EXO member Huang Zitao, who plays one of the leads in his upcoming movie, "Railroad Tigers".
As reported on Asia Starz, in an interview with the media recently, Ding stated that the actor, who is still new in the film industry, worked hard to earn his place in the movie.
"It's the first time that Huang Zitao was given the chance to play such a major character. He has a lot of scenes and is present throughout the whole movie," said Ding.
In "Railroad Tigers", Tao plays the role of a talkative peddler on a steam engine rail who joins the team of freedom fighters led by Jackie Chan's character, Ma Yuan, against the Japanese army.
Ding also revealed that he even wrote Tao's character based the latter's personality so that he can show off his special skills.
The movie, which is currently in post-production, is set to be released in December. It also stars Xu Fan, Wang Kai, and Darren Wang.
