Dingdong Dantes honours women in his life on 40th birthday
5 Aug – Rather than celebrate turning 40 on August 2nd with a party, Dingdong Dantes decided to honour the women in his life on social media.
Dantes revealed that he originally planned to hold a supposed Oktoberfest-themed, 90's rock,c all-out party for his birthday, but was not able to realise it due to the pandemic.
Instead, he used the opportunity to express his gratitude to his mother, as well as to wife Marian Rivera.
He wrote, "Today, I honour my mother who brought me into this world. I had to have my own children to make me realise the sacrifices that our mothers do for us. She literally put her life on the line for me. So whenever I get a birthday greeting, I also celebrate her strength, love and commitment in raising a kulit boy like me."
"Today, I also honour my wife who has been my rock and core. Building a family of my own and reaching milestones have been a blissful and contented journey because I have her as my partner in and for life. So whenever you greet me, I too laud her dedication, care and love for me and our children - who have brought so much meaning to our marriage and our lives."
Dantes also thanked God for making "all things possible and surmountable" for him all throughout the years.
At 40, Dantes is a father of two children and now a proud owner of the delivery service app called dingdong.ph.
