Dilraba Dilmurat and Yang Yang to star in new series
7 Aug – After much speculations, Tencent recently confirmed that Dilraba Dilmurat and Yang Yang will indeed star in their upcoming adaptation of the hit novel, "You Are My Glory".
As reported on Sina, the news was revealed at the press conference of the said project, which was held recently and attended by both actors.
Dilraba will play the role of Qiao Jingjing, a celebrity who finds herself in trouble after being exposed as a bad gamer despite endorsing an online game, while Yang plays Yu Tu, a former crush of Qiao Jingjing of whom she meets again through a new online game.
Speaking of her character in the drama, Dilraba stated that she is excited to begin shooting, as this is the first time she plays a character which is very much like herself.
The drama is based on famed author Gu Man's work of the same name. Gu is also known for other hits like, "My Sunshine" and "Love O2O" - the latter which also starred Yang Yang.
