Dicky Cheung has no plans to film another drama soon
27 Nov – Hong Kong actor Dicky Cheung has no plans to do another Cantonese drama - at least not anytime soon.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared at the promotional event of "The Learning Curve of a Warlord" recently, stated that he has a lot of things to do outside of acting that he hopes to start soon.
"For example, I want to do charity work and church activities, or give talks at schools," he said.
When asked if there is a chance that he will stop making Cantonese dramas, Dicky said that he can't say for sure what his future would be.
"But I cherish every moment I had filming this [drama], to do all the creative things that I could do, because I am not sure when will I get the chance to film a Cantonese drama again," he said.
Dicky stressed that the reason he came back to film the drama was because he felt like he didn't give the audience a proper goodbye when he left the company more than a decade ago.
As to whether there is a chance that he will do one series per year, Dicky stated that nobody will appreciate it if he comes back every year.
"The less food there is, the better it will taste. It's the same thing with filming. If I shoot a lot of dramas, I won't cherish the performance," he said.
"The Learning Curve of a Warlord" is set to premiere on 3 December.
