Ever since I was little, my mom taught me how to shop smart. Sure, we could afford that $200 jacket, but that doesn't mean we should shell out that much for something we’d wear max six months out of the year. Off-season shopping is one trick my mom taught me — as in, buying coats at the end of outerwear season because retailers are trying to make room for the relevant, seasonal staples, thus slashing the prices of other things. Another secret she taught me? Shop at outlet stores, which have become my all-time favorite place to get designer things at unheard of prices.

Saks Off 5th is an outlet shopper’s dream. It’s under-the-radar, as in, not many people know just how crazy-good the deals are. And while it took me a while to finally disclose my “secret,” good things are meant to be shared — and this is a really good thing, especially ahead of the holiday shopping season. So, hear me out:

Saks Off 5th is the cheaper sister of Saks Fifth Avenue; though the prices are significantly lower, the brands are just as luxe. Every time I shop there, I’m blown away by the prices. Like, a Hudson turtleneck tank for $50? Unheard of! Or a cuddly Vince pullover sweater for 66 percent off? Only in your wildest dreams would you find a Vince staple at this price. But alas, Saks Off 5th makes shopping dreams come true, which is why I’m doing all my holiday browsing here, both for myself and my family and friends.
