Design Orchard, a new retail building to offer over 60 Singaporean brands
Nestled among Orchard Road’s many shopping malls that offer international retail brands, is Design Orchard, a new 2.5-storey development which will house a retail showcase on the first level, incubation spaces on the second level and the rooftop, and an events space on the rooftop. The retail outlet is set to open doors to the public on 25 January, and is located at the junction of Orchard Road and Cairnhill Road.
Spearheaded by Enterprise Singapore, JTC and Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Design Orchard is part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to transform Orchard Road into a lifestyle destination. The retail outlet is designed by award-winning WOHA Architects.
At a press conference yesterday, Naiise founder Dennis Tay explained that they’ve been working with the stakeholders on curating a mentorship programme, which will cover areas like marketing, branding and merchandising plans. Naiise will take on the retail operations.
