Denise Ho happy with result of recent elections in Hong Kong

27 Nov – Denise Ho was over the moon following the recent Hong Kong district council elections result that saw a big win for the pro-democracy groups.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who has been very vocal in her fight for Hong Kong independence, took to Twitter to express her happiness, writing, "388 vs 58 seats, 57 [percent] vs 41 [percent]. Hong Kong has spoken, loud and clear."

Speaking to the media about the result, Denise stated that she couldn't help but think about the past five months.

"Hong Kong people may forget the blood and sweat that the young people shed, but the system will never forget," she added.

At the same time, the singer stressed that there is still a lot of things to be done, and that this is not the time for everybody to relax.

The same notion was shared by Anthony Wong, who said that there is still a long road ahead for Hong Kong people.
