Denise Ho films new MV for free

28 Sep - Although she is now an independent artiste and has to finance all her work on her own, Denise Ho still managed to fork out quite a lot of money to film her latest music video for her new song, "Dear Friend".

As reported on Mingpao News, the new music video, directed by Eric Kot and produced by Yan Yan Mak, features Denise in what looked like a war zone with ashes falling around her, as she sings about hope in the times of hardship.

The war-themed MV, which reportedly cost HKD2 million, was created by Eric himself, who turned an abandoned school into a deserted battlefield. A dilapidated bridge was also built to enhance the atmosphere.

Although the production cost a lot, it was reported that the director, producer, and the staff did not receive any penny, and that even the company that did all the special effects was part of a sponsorship.

Denise shared a teaser of the said MV on Facebook, and wrote, "Music, can it not stop a bullet? Probably, it can't tear down the darkness. But music, it can make the darkness full of life, strength and possibility. Possibility is hope."
