Delta Just Discounted Flights to Europe, Japan, and Australia — When to Book
The sale ends August 29.
Delta Air Lines is having one of its biggest sales of the year with flight deals on domestic and international travel through next spring.
“Don’t let your summer end without limited-time deals on flights to keep the summer vibes going,” the airline wrote about the promotion on its website. “Plus, check out offers on vacations, stays, and cars to earn beyond your flight.”
The sale, ending on Thursday, August 29, at 11:59 p.m. PT, features discounted round-trip flights within the U.S. and to destinations like Asia, Australia, and beyond. These discounts are available whether you're paying with cash or redeeming Delta SkyMiles.
Travel windows and blackout dates vary by destination, so travelers should enter their home airport on the dedicated promotional page to see all current deals. No promo code is needed, though award tickets are subject to government taxes and fees, which should be no more than $200 for international flights.
Travel + Leisure reviewed the list to find the best international travel deals, though they must be booked as round-trip tickets to secure these favorable prices:
Miami (MIA) to London (LHR): $614 or 34,000 SkyMiles
Seattle (SEA) to Taipei (TPE): $831 or 44,000 SkyMiles
Philadelphia (PHL) to Paris (CDG): $656 or 50,000 SkyMiles
Austin (AUS) to Amsterdam (AMS): $659 or 54,000 SkyMiles
Los Angeles (LAX) to Brisbane, Australia (BNE): $958 or 56,000 SkyMiles
New York (JFK) to Tokyo (HND): $960 or 64,000 SkyMiles
Travelers looking for flights closer to home are in luck as well, with one-way tickets across the country bookable for as low as $60 or 4,500 miles. Even better, SkyMiles members with an eligible Delta credit card can enjoy an additional 15 percent off all award flights operated by the airline, making this an incredible opportunity to save on upcoming travel.
In addition to the fare sale, the airline is offering up to $300 in savings with promo code “SMDLV300” at checkout for Delta Vacations packages, which combine the cost of flights and hotels at a discounted rate. These Delta Vacations packages also allow passengers to earn Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs), helping them qualify for elite status with the airline by the end of the year for 2025 status.
