Dayo Wong to star in a new CNY movie
23 Jun – More than a year after "The Grand Grandmaster", Dayo Wong is back with a new movie for the Lunar New Year next year.
As reported on HK01, the Hong Kong comedian is set to star in the upcoming comedy movie, "Table For Six" alongside Louis Cheung and Stephy Tang, though he will not be directing the project nor pen the script like he did in his most recent ones.
"I have not received a complete script before production for a while now, which is why this one is incredible to me," said Dayo at the press conference announcing the movie. "I read it and it's very good."
As for working with Stephy as his love interest for the first time, Dayo couldn't help but sing praises for the actress, saying, "There hasn't been a lot of actresses that could be called a Hong Kong goddess, but Stephy really is one. She is like the goddess next door."
No further information have been revealed about the movie. It will be directed by Sunny Chan and will co-star Louis Cheung, Ivana Wong, Peter Chan, as well as Malaysian singer Lin Min Chen.
