David Beckham was the perfect poster child at the launch of his new Modern Essentials collection for H&M in Los Angeles on Monday. The sexy soccer star flaunted the effortlessly masculine style that forms the basis of the collection in a fitted all-black ensemble. Becks paired a black collared shirt--sleeves rolled up to show off his tats, of course--with black skinny jeans and brown suede boots for the meet and greet event attended by throngs of fans.

According to H&M, the collection--which is handpicked by the footballer himself--is "masculine, urban, and sharp" and "creates a new, urban uniform for men for fall 2016." All the pieces utilize a minimalist color scheme of gray, navy, and wine red that can easily be mixed and matched or wore on their own, something both fashion-savvy and non-fashion-savvy men alike can appreciate.

Beckham and comedian Kevin Hart recently teamed up to promote the collection in an ad campaign that features the unlikely duo on a quest to bring a song-and-dance routine to Las Vegas. In a hilarious clip (below) the guys rock two matching looks, a zip-up jacket with a turtleneck and a block-stripe knit sweater from the upcoming line.
