Dato' Seri Vida gets a new friend in Fan Bingbing

15 Jul - A meeting between businesswoman Dato' Sri Vida and Chinese actress Fan Bingbing was not something that we expected, but we somehow needed.

Fan, who is currently the Melaka Friendship Ambassador for Tourism for the state of Melaka, recently met with many local celebrities, including the famous Kelantan-born entrepreneur, Dato' Sri Hasmiza Othman, known to many by her moniker Dato' Seri Vida/DSV.

The two exchanged products from their own brands, with DSV, who has also added a snack brand to her many ranges of businesses, gifted Fan with her PappiCorn popcorn as well as her daughter Cik B's salmon skin salted egg snacks while the actress gave DSV her Fan Beauty beauty mask.

The two also interacted in Mandarin comfortably, as DSV is known to be fluent in the language from the 12 years' experience of teaching in a Chinese school in Perak.

Fan posted, "Pleased to know you! Your @pappicorn_popcorn_hq is so sedap! Hope you try my @fanbeauty_official beauty mask too!"

DSV thanked the actress for loving her snacks, and said that she has already tried the mask and will continue to buy them online.

Many took to the comments to express how entertained they are by the unlikely duo, including singer Amzah, who wrote in Chinese, "I didn't expect you to meet her."
