Dante Lam's new movie begins production
21 Nov – After months in preparation, the Dante Lam movie, "The Rescue" (also known as "Emergency Rescue") is now in production.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the director was recently in Xiamen for the worship ceremony, which was attended by the cast of the new movie, including Eddie Peng, Xin Zhilei, Ian Wang, Lan Yingying, and Kenneth Lau.
"I think that Xiamen is a great location. This is the place where the actors can have a great environment to rest after a long day at work," he said about the Fujian city.
Dante stated that the movie will be several times harder to shoot than his previous movie, "Operation Red Sea", as it will be larger in scale and involve underwater scenes.
On the other hand, Dante is keeping mum about the stunts required for the film, saying that only two people in the production who are currently in the know about it.
As to why he decided to cast Eddie Peng again, after working with the actor numerous times, Dante joked, "He's the one who keeps pestering me, asking me about my next movie."
