Daniel Wu joins Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson in sci-fi thriller

23 Oct– Daniel Wu's last Hollywood movie was "Tomb Raider", released in early 2018, but it won't be long before he appears in an English-speaking role on the silver screen again as he's just landed a new deal in Tinseltown.
The Hong Kong-American actor has signed on for a part in sci-fi thriller "Reminiscence".
No further details were given on his character but it is presumably an antagonist role, since Deadline reported him to be "on opposite sides with [Hugh] Jackman's character".
Wu is the fourth cast member to be announced, aside from leads Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson as well as Thandie Newton, though the "Westworld" star's role in the movie has yet to be revealed.
Penned by Lisa Joy, who co-created "Westworld" and will be making her feature directorial debut with "Reminiscence", the movie is set in a submerged Miami in the dystopic near future and follows Nick Bannister (Jackman) who helps people remember certain things by using technology to retrieve their memories.
He falls for a mysterious woman (Ferguson) who comes to him for help with lost keys but when she goes missing, he will have to uncover her past to find her.
"Reminiscence" was previously reported to begin filming this month but there seems to be a slight delay. So far, no release date has been set.
As for Wu, this year he stars in heist thriller "Caught On Time", his first Chinese movie since 2016's "Sky On Fire". (Though he did make a cameo in 2017's "Wished"). "Reminiscence" marks his fourth Hollywood title in recent years, having played an orc in 2016's "Warcraft" and following that up with a role in 2017's "Geostorm" and the aforementioned "Tomb Raider".
