With quarantine and social distancing measures put in place by governments around the world, many of us have resorted to a variety of activities to keep busy. Besides getting on video calls and Instagram Live to communicate with fans, some of these personalities have jumped on the latest video-sharing social media craze, TikTok.

It’s easy to get sucked into an abyss of funny and entertaining videos, whether shared on Instagram or on the TikTok app itself, as stars from model Iman Fandi to singers Sandra Riley Tang and Benjamin Kheng flex their creative juices.

Here are some of the TikTok accounts you should follow if you want to get your groove on.

Iman Fandi

The daughter of football icon Fandi Ahmad and the former South African model Wendy Jacobs, Iman Fandi, is the latest personality to join TikTok. The model can be seen busting moves to Jennifer Lopez’s Super Bowl Challenge in the video above, which got us flipping with envy (so talented!).

Sandra Riley Tang

One quarter of the band Sam Willows, Sandra Riley Tang, is known for her singing prowess and flexible dancing moves. When she’s not busy churning out advice as a yoga guru, Tang goes on TikTok to throw a mean 150kg tire flip, or show how she enjoys her McFries. Well, a girl’s got to eat right?

Julie Anne San Jose

Asia’s Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose has been preparing for an acting comeback. While she was taking acting workshops before the pandemic hit, the Pinoy singer signed on to TikTok to keep her fans entertained (and she’s slaying it!).

Benjamin Kheng

For his TikTok debut, singer-actor Benjamin Kheng grooved to Dua Lipa’s track, ‘Don’t Start Now’, with the help of three of his friends. When he’s not dancing, Kheng can be seen cross-dressing and putting on funny impressions, such as his video (above) on ‘Pretty girl on DMs’ (lol!).

Elizabeth Tan

Malaysian singer Elizabeth Tan, who’s known for her song ‘Knock Knock’, has found a way to entertain herself and her fans - by dancing her stress away on TikTok.

Nora Danish

Actress Nora Danish is coping with Malaysia’s Movement Control Order well, by channeling her energy towards creating TikTok videos. The mother of two even sometimes ropes in her son Putera Rayqal for fun.

Jaime Teo

Former Miss Singapore Universe Jaime Teo has been bitten by the TikTok bug. The former beauty queen turned entrepreneur, who built the Twelve Cupcakes brand with her ex-husband, former DJ Daniel Ong, shows off fitness and dancing videos filmed at home, with the couple’s daughter occasionally joining in the fun.

Jodi Sta Maria

International Emmy-nominated Filipina actress Jodi Sta Maria, who gained fame after starring in Tabing Ilog, has now amassed new fans on TikTok with her hilarious antics and dancing videos.

Yap Hui Xin

Former child actress Yap Hui Xin may well be remembered for her roles on Channel 8, but the full-time actress also dedicates her time to dancing on TikTok. Some of her video content shows her dancing to Kpop hits by Blackpink and even lip-syncing to hilarious audio.

Naomi Neo

Lifestyle blogger turned content creator on YouTube and Instagram, Naomi Neo, has now added TikTok under her belt. The mum of one sees social media as a way to interact with her fans, saying in an interview with Cleo magazine: “It’s not a one-way street of me sharing my personal life online. My followers also talk to me about what they’re going through, and their stories and experiences inspire me so much. In a way, they’re also guiding me and letting me know that there are better things ahead.”
