Dakota Johnson just wore two totally see-through outfits in 24 hours
Whatever your thoughts about Madame Web – whether you loved it or loathed it – starring Sydney Sweeney and Dakota Johnson, there's no denying the press tour for the film was a major success thanks to endless style slays from the two actresses. From plunging necklines to see-through dresses, both leading ladies tapped into the red carpet method dressing trend with spider-web-inspired gowns on more than one occasion.
So when Dakota was spotted out and about in New York yesterday [Monday 10 June] to begin promoting her latest cinematic release, Daddio, you bet we got excited. After all, press tours are essentially fashion marathons with multiple events scheduled back to back across days, weeks and occasionally months for the biiig blockbuster films like Barbie and Dune: Part Two. And every event requires a new, stand-out look.
No sweat for the eternally chic Dakota who debuted not one, but two see-through 'fits yesterday.
First up, a demure cream long-sleeve blouse paired with a mustard yellow floaty midi skirt. A ladylike outfit that upon closer inspection was more exciting than initially thought thanks to the fact both items were almost totally transparent. A yellow lacy bra could be seen showing through the 34-year-old's top, while high-waist big knickers were clearly visible beneath the skirt. Burgundy patent leather slingbacks completed the head-to-toe Gucci ensemble.
As for her second naked look of the day? Another Gucci outfit, this time a midnight blue dress that featured cut-out lace panels at the neckline and across the bodice to resemble a nightdress. Dakota again opted to wear XL underwear beneath the garment, these knickers however were constructed entirely from lace and in the same blue hue as her dress. She added strappy black heeled sandals to her feet and accessorised with boho jewellery. Her Tiffany & Co necklace featured a large green stone in a netted pouch finished with a tassel.
Two see-through outfits in 24 hours isn't a bad way to kick off a press tour, IMO. We can't wait to see what Dakota wears next.
