Dafi plans to release a new single after five years

30 Sep – After five years of silence, "Akademi Fantasia" alumnus Dafi seems ready to make his music comeback.

The singer, who is also the son of Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, revealed that he has actually recorded a new song, but has yet to release it due to the current situation.

"Personally, it didn't feel right to release a song while the country is still facing the COVID-19 pandemic. But then when you think about it, it's not wrong to come out with a song if it can spread a positive message and encourage others," he said to mStar.

It is noted that Dafi's last single was the 2016's "Girl".

At the same time, Dafi, whose real name is Gadaffi, stated that he will be part of Rocketfuel Talent beginning 1 October.

"I've had my own management company in the past, and I know how difficult it is to arrange someone's career, so now I decide to let others do so for me," he added.
