Daesung and Taeyang no longer with YG Entertainment

29 Dec – YG Entertainment is losing two of its biggest stars in BIG BANG's Daesung and Taeyang, as both have now departed from the company.

Taeyang was the first to announce his departure, revealing that he has signed with the new label THEBLACKLABEL, before Daesung went on to share that he has also signed to the same management on the same day.

Despite the two singers' departure, YG assured that both of them are still members of BIGBANG. It also added that it is now negotiating with rapper G-Dragon on his contract renewal.

"We support Daesung's choice and new start," said the company, not soon after revealing that Taeyang is "making a fresh start."

It is noted that TOP was the first to leave earlier this year, though, like the two, remain a member of BIGBANG. Meanwhile, their youngest, Seungri, left the company and the group in 2019 amid the Burning Sun scandal.

BIGBANG made their comeback in April this year after four years of hiatus, with a single called "Single Life".
