Cyndi Wang's past photos trigger surgery rumours

6 Jan – A series of comparisons between her past and present photographs have triggered rumours that Taiwanese actress-singer Cyndi Wang may have undergone plastic surgery.

As reported on China News, photos of the singer became a hot topic online recently when Netizens pointed out that Cyndi's looks have changed in the course of ten years, and that she now has sharper nose and pointed chin.

Other Netizens also commented that the singer now looks more like S.H.E's Hebe Tien and Angelababy.

However, Cyndi's manager was quick to dismiss the plastic surgery, saying that the allegations were absurd.

Meanwhile, when asked to comment on the rumours, her boyfriend Yao Yuan Hao said, "I don't think there are any changes to her looks. I'm just sorry that she has to suffer from those kinds of rumours."

STORY: China's government faced mounting anger Wednesday over its handling of the deadly car attack there earlier in the week - and appeared to be taking steps to limit news of the incident. On Monday, a man drove into a crowd at a sports center, killing 35 and injuring 43. But the government took nearly a day to announce the death toll, and the incident has been little reported by state media. Some online posts criticising the government's response, or questioning what the attack means for Chinese society, were rapidly removed by authorities.Candles and flowers that had been laid at the scene on Tuesday evening at the sports center's west gate later disappeared.A Reuters reporter on the scene said they were removed overnight. Even though I didn’t know them personally, it felt like those time when I had family members pass away in the past.
