Crystal Fung clarifies hosting issue at JSG Awards
7 Jan – While Louisa Mak is apologetic for her first attempt at hosting a major live event, Crystal Fung believes that they did quite well for a first-timer.
As reported on Mingpao, the former beauty queen, who was one of the emcees of the 2017 JSG Awards recently, shared that she does feel fortunate that she didn't do any major mistakes like announcing the wrong category or the wrong name at the event.
"I hope to be given a chance to do it again. I will work harder in the future," she said.
As to criticisms about her speedy delivery, Crystal said that she had to do so when the programme went overtime.
"I understand that winners want to say thank you to a lot of people, so we decided not to rush them or stop their speech. To this end, we could only speed up our own speech," she said.
As for comments about her being too relaxed on the show, Crystal said that she intentionally did so since it's a music programme.
"The three emcees had their own roles. Luk Ho ming was the experienced senior, Louisa was the calmer host, while I was the casual one," she said.
