Of course, Rihanna can pull off the trendy wolf haircut better than anyone else
'Wolf cut', 'shullet', 'shag cut' – whatever you want to call it, this shaggy hairstyle has been all over our feeds as of late. The latest star to attempt the cut? None other than Rihanna. AKA, the queen of hairstyles. Our gal Riri has never been afraid to experiment with her hair, and this recent 'do proves the billionaire isn't slowing down with providing us with all the hairspo since becoming a mum (soon to be mum-of-two! Yes, we're still not over it).
If we look back on BadGalRiri's hair timeline (surely we can't be the only one that's made one?), the Fenty Beauty founder has experimented with a mullet a fair few times. The latest was back in 2021, but this grown-out version of the classic rockstar haircut is really the hair trend of the season. As we expected, Riri absolutely nailed it:
In the first shoot with the Fenty family, the singer debuted the 80s-esque hairstyle whilst posing with her newborn son – who, by the way, is possibly the happiest baby on earth? I mean, if we had Rihanna and A$AP Rocky as our parents, we'd be pretty chuffed, too.
The sky-high wolf cut was designed by Rihanna's go-to hairstylist, Yusef Williams, and we're obsessed. It's giving us Elvira, Mistress of the Dark vibes, in the *best* way possible. No? Just us?
Although the British Vogue shoot is only just being released, you might recognise the look from some behind the scenes shots that were sneakily taken by the paparazzi. This caused Riri to take her son's debut into her own hands and release that very adorable video of him giggling. We so rate her for taking the narrative into her own hands.
Considering this wasn't the look she sported for the Super Bowl over the weekend, we're guessing this wolf cut is in fact a wig. But considering Rihanna's hair histoRih (see what we did there?), we wouldn't put it past her to actually chop off her locks for this 'do in the future. We'll keep you posted.
