Couple Who Met On ‘First Dates’ Set To Marry
Channel 4 dating show, First Dates, has proven to be a mass success, with a couple who met on TV now being set to tie the knot.
Victoria Wills applied for the programme looking for a man who was ten years her senior, making 39-year-old Scott White her perfect match.
Now, just three months later, the lovebirds are engaged.
Scott explained: “After the date we went out and had a really good time. As each place closed we moved to the next place.”
The next day, they went to Victoria’s mum’s house for dinner and have hardly left each other’s sides since.
In fact, the pair were so loved up that Channel 4 decided to invite them back as part of the First Dates Christmas Special, and Scott decided that it was the perfect place to pop the question - sealing the deal with a Haribo ring.
He revealed: “I hadn’t had a chance to get a proper ring but I really wanted to do it in the place we met.
"Hopefully in years to come we’ll have our first date to watch but we’ll also have the proposal and we can show it to our kids in the future.”
Scott has since replaced the ring for an official engagement diamond, with Victoria adding: “The ring is absolutely beautiful and not edible this time, although I have kept my Haribo ring as that’s obviously a lovely memory.”
The couple’s engagement will be shown on Thursday’s episode of First Dates, with Scott and Victoria hoping to get married next year.
